Growing up in Mililani and attending Punahou School, I’ve always felt deeply connected to the vibrant community of Hawaii. It was actually watching my father, a dentist himself, make a positive impact on the lives of his patients that first sparked my interest in dentistry. I saw firsthand the dentures and crowns he built and the tangible difference he made in their health and confidence.
My journey to becoming a dentist took me to the East Coast, where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine in Westchester, New York. This provided me with a strong foundation in comprehensive dental care, utilizing modern techniques and technology. Following dental school, I further honed my skills by completing a General Practice Residency at the Eastman Institute of Oral Health, gaining valuable experience in a wide range of dental procedures and patient care scenarios.
With several years in practice, I find the most rewarding aspect of my work to be building relationships with my patients and helping them achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles. There’s immense satisfaction in alleviating pain, restoring function, and seeing the positive impact that good oral health has on a person’s overall well-being.
While I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, I have a particular interest in Conservative Dentistry and 3D aided design and printing modern dental technology to enhance patient comfort and treatment outcomes. I am committed to staying current with the latest advancements in the field through continuing education.
I believe that a positive dental experience is built on trust and clear communication. My approach to care is centered around making each patient feel heard, comfortable, and empowered in their dental health journey. I strive to create a relaxed and welcoming environment, taking the time to explain procedures thoroughly and answer any questions. Outside of the office, I’m a firm believer in the importance of a healthy lifestyle and can often be found at the gym. I also believe in giving back to the community that has given me so much and look for opportunities to participate in local health initiatives aimed at increasing access to dental care.
